Whilst every 1981 fragrance has been designed to stand confidently on its own, we believe the real magic happens when you start experimenting. Mixing. Matching. Discovering combinations that nobody else would think to try.

One of our favourite pairings right now is Midnight + 1981.

Midnight is naturally deep, sensual and intense, but layering 1981 over it changes the entire direction of the fragrance. The woody amber character of 1981 smooths out the darker edges, creating a more effortless, daytime interpretation that still retains depth and intrigue.

It's a combination that reminds us why we built the collection this way in the first place. Fragrance shouldn't be static. It should evolve. It should change depending on your mood, the season, the occasion, or simply because you fancy trying something different.

Some people discover a signature scent and never stray from it. Others become accidental fragrance mixologists, layering until they find something completely their own.

We're definitely the latter.
